Overview

MS2188 is a synchronous boost DC-DC converter featuring low standby power consumption and high efficiency, with a standby current of only 15μA. The device employs a fixed on-time PFM control scheme that automatically reduces switching frequency under light-load conditions to maintain high conversion efficiency. With only three external components, it can boost the low input voltage of a battery to the required operating voltage. Through proprietary control technology, the device achieves both low standby power consumption and high light-load efficiency, maintaining regulated output voltage while drawing input current as low as 15μA — making it particularly suitable for applications with stringent battery standby time requirements. The device is available in SOT23, SOT23-5, and SOT89-3 packages.
