MS5620

MS5620 is a quad-channel, serial 8-bit voltage output DAC with high-impedance buffered reference input. The DAC can produce voltage outputs of 1x or 2x the reference voltage with respect to ground, and is guaranteed monotonic. Operating from a single supply voltage of 3V to 5V makes it convenient to use. An on-chip power-on reset function ensures repeatable startup conditions. Digital control is implemented via a 3-wire serial bus compatible with CMOS technology, enabling easy interfacing with industry-standard microprocessors or microcontrollers. The 11-bit command word consists of 8 data bits, 2 DAC channel selection bits, and 1 range control bit. The range control bit sets the DAC output voltage range to either 1x or 2x the reference voltage with respect to ground. The DAC features a double-buffered latch structure, allowing a complete set of data to be loaded into the device before simultaneously updating all DAC outputs under LDAC control. The digital inputs incorporate Schmitt triggers for enhanced noise immunity. The compact package of the MS5620 enables digital control of analog functions in space-constrained applications. It operates over a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C and requires no external trimming.
