The MUX508 and MUX509 (MUX50x) are modern CMOS analog multiplexers (mux). The MUX508 provides an 8:1 single-ended channel, while the MUX509 provides a 4:1 differential channel or dual 4:1 single-ended channels. Both the MUX508 and MUX509 operate from dual supplies (±5V to ±18V) or a single supply (10V to 36V). Both devices are guaranteed to perform well when powered from symmetric supplies (e.g., VDD = 12V, VSS = −12V) as well as asymmetric supplies (e.g., VDD = 12V, VSS = −5V). All digital inputs feature TTL-compatible thresholds, which ensure compatibility with both TTL and CMOS logic when the device operates within the valid supply voltage range. Both the MUX508 and MUX509 exhibit very low on- and off-state leakage currents, enabling high-input-impedance source signals to be switched with minimal error. The device's supply current is as low as 45μA, making it suitable for portable applications with VTT discharge.
