Overview

OC6801B is a dedicated DC-DC controller IC designed for boost and buck-boost switching power supplies. The typical application of OC6801B supports an input voltage range of 5 - 40V. With extended input supply, it can also support input voltages above 400V. The IC employs fixed-frequency PWM control and automatically reduces switching frequency under light-load conditions to improve conversion efficiency. An integrated high-precision error amplifier, oscillator, and frequency compensation circuit simplify the peripheral design. The IC features built-in overcurrent protection and EN pin shutdown functionality. The switching frequency is adjustable via a single external resistor, enabling easy frequency configuration for different applications. Integrated soft-start and over-temperature protection circuits reduce external component count and improve system reliability.
