Overview
PAM2306D is a dual-channel step-down current-mode DC-DC converter. Under heavy load, constant-frequency PWM control delivers excellent stability and transient response. To maximize battery life in portable applications, PAM2306D features a power-saving pulse-skip modulation (PSM) mode that reduces quiescent current during light-load operation. PAM2306D supports an input voltage range of 2.5V to 5.5V, allowing use with single-cell Li+/Li-polymer batteries, multi-cell alkaline/NiMH batteries, USB, and other standard power sources. Both output voltages are adjustable. All versions integrate internal power switches and synchronous rectifiers to minimize external component count and achieve high efficiency. During shutdown, the input is disconnected from the output, with shutdown current less than 0.1μA. Other key features include undervoltage lockout to prevent deep battery discharge.
