Overview
The PTVSHC3N7VU TVS diode is designed to replace multilayer varistors (MLVs) in portable applications such as mobile phones, laptops, and personal digital assistants (PDAs). It features excellent electrical characteristics, including low clamping voltage, low leakage current, and high surge capability. The diode is designed to protect sensitive electronic components connected to power lines against overstress caused by ESD, EFT, and lightning strikes. The PTVSHC3N7VU is available in a DFN2X2-3L package and protects a single unidirectional line. It provides ESD protection up to ±30kV (contact and air discharge) per IEC61000-4-2, and can withstand a peak pulse current up to 180A (8/20μs) per IEC61000-4-5.
