Overview
RY8630 is a current-mode monolithic step-down switching regulator with an input voltage range of 4.5V to 60V, capable of delivering 3A continuous output current over a wide input supply range with excellent load and line regulation. Under light-load conditions, the regulator operates at reduced frequency to maintain high efficiency and minimize output ripple. Current-mode control provides tight load transient response. The RY8630 achieves low EMI characteristics through well-controlled switching edges. Fault protection features include programmable output overvoltage protection, detectable output short-circuit protection, thermal shutdown, and input undervoltage lockout. The RY8630 is available in ESOP8A, ESOP8B, and ESOP8C packages, offering a compact solution with minimal external components.
