SCT2422 is a 2A synchronous buck converter with a wide input voltage range of 3.8V to 40V, integrating a 160mΩ high-side MOSFET and an 80mΩ low-side MOSFET. The device employs peak current mode control and supports pulse skip modulation mode, with a typical quiescent current as low as 25uA, enabling high efficiency under light load or standby conditions. SCT2422 features programmable soft-start time and a switching frequency programmable from 300kHz to 2.2MHz via an external resistor, providing flexibility for optimizing efficiency or external component size. The converter supports external clock synchronization in the 300kHz to 2.2MHz frequency range. SCT2422 is capable of power conversion from high input voltage to low output voltage, with a minimum on-time of 100ns for the high-side MOSFET. SCT2422 is an EMI-friendly buck converter with an optimized design to reduce EMI. The device features frequency spread spectrum with a switching frequency dither range of ±6% and a modulation rate of 1/512 of the switching frequency to reduce conducted EMI. SCT2422 provides cycle-by-cycle current limiting and hiccup overcurrent protection, thermal shutdown protection, output overvoltage protection, and input undervoltage lockout. The device is available in an 8-pin thermally enhanced SOP-8 package.
