SCT2452CSTER

The SCT2452C is a 5A step-down converter with a wide input voltage range of 4.5V to 42V, integrating an 80mΩ high-side MOSFET. The device employs peak current mode control and supports pulse skip modulation, enabling high efficiency under light-load or standby conditions. The SCT2452C features a programmable switching frequency from 100kHz to 2.2MHz, set via an external resistor, providing flexibility to optimize efficiency or external component size. The converter supports external clock synchronization within the 100kHz to 2.2MHz frequency range. The SCT2452C enables power conversion from high input voltage to low output voltage, with a minimum on-time of 130ns for the high-side MOSFET. The device offers adjustable soft-start to prevent inrush current during output voltage ramp-up. The SCT2452C features internal loop compensation to simplify loop compensation design. The device provides cycle-by-cycle current limiting, thermal shutdown protection, output overvoltage protection, and input undervoltage lockout. The device is available in an 8-pin ESOP-8 package.
