Overview
SD4950 is a PD and DC/DC controller based on the IEEE 802.3af standard. The PD controller section provides signature resistance detection, inrush current limiting, and other functions for Powered Devices (PD) in Power over Ethernet (PoE) systems. It integrates an internal power MOSFET with a 100V breakdown voltage and 0.6Ω on-resistance, with built-in overcurrent protection, undervoltage protection, and overtemperature protection. The DC/DC controller section features an integrated 150V power MOSFET, employs Primary-Side Regulation (PSR), is suitable for flyback topology, and provides a precise constant-voltage control loop. Operating in PWM+PFM mode, it delivers high system efficiency and excellent EMI characteristics.
