The SGM3749 is a boost converter with an integrated 40V-rated switch FET, capable of driving up to 10 series LEDs. Operating at a fixed switching frequency of 1.25MHz with a 1.5A switch current limit, it is suitable for high-brightness LEDs in general lighting applications. The default white LED current is set via an external sense resistor RSET, with the feedback voltage regulated to 200mV. During operation, LED current can be controlled via a PWM signal on the CTRL pin, where the pulse-width modulation signal determines the feedback reference voltage. In PWM mode, the SGM3749 does not burst LED current, thereby eliminating audible noise on the output capacitor. The device integrates open-LED protection to prevent the output voltage from exceeding the IC's maximum voltage rating under open-LED conditions. The SGM3749 is offered in green TDFN-2×2-6L and TSOT-23-6 packages, with an operating ambient temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
