The SGM61032 is a high-efficiency, small-size synchronous buck converter for low input voltage applications, making it an ideal solution for compact designs. Its 2.5V to 5.5V input voltage range covers nearly all available battery-powered applications. In the medium-to-heavy load range, it operates in PWM mode at 1.5MHz (typical), and automatically enters or exits Power Save Mode (PSM) at light loads to maintain high efficiency. In shutdown, the quiescent current is 0.02μA (typical). The device is based on an adaptive off-time architecture, yet still supports output capacitors ranging from 10μF to 150μF and beyond. This flexibility makes it an ideal choice for system power rail supply. It also supports 100% duty cycle operation and enters Pass-Through Mode (PTM) when specific conditions are met. In this mode, the quiescent current drops to 32μA. The adaptive off-time architecture delivers excellent output voltage accuracy and superior load transient response. An external feed-forward compensation capacitor is all that is needed for faster response. The SGM61032 is available in a Green SOT-563-6 package.
