SSP9458

The SSP9458 is a monolithic step-down switching mode converter with an integrated power MOSFET. It delivers up to 600mA output current over a wide input supply range, with excellent load and line regulation. Under light-load conditions, the regulator operates at reduced frequency to maintain high efficiency and low output ripple. The minimum input voltage is as low as 4.5V, with a maximum of 60V, and it can withstand even higher transient voltages. Fault protection features include cycle-by-cycle current limiting and thermal shutdown. The SSP9458 requires only a few easily sourced external components and is available in a SOT23-6 package. The SSP9458 is a wide input range DC-DC step-down switching regulator. The device integrates an internal low-resistance, high-voltage power MOSFET and operates at a high switching frequency of 2MHz, enabling a compact, efficient design using small external components such as ceramic input and output capacitors and a compact inductor.
