SY81102 is a high-efficiency 500kHz synchronous buck converter operating over an input voltage range of 4.5V to 18V, capable of delivering up to 2A of output current. It integrates both high-side and low-side MOSFETs with ultra-low Rds(on), helping to minimize conduction losses. The pseudo-constant 500kHz switching frequency allows the use of small external inductors and capacitors. The device employs a constant on-time, ripple-based control scheme to achieve fast transient response in high step-down ratio applications while maintaining high efficiency at light loads. It also provides cycle-by-cycle current limit protection, output undervoltage protection, and over-temperature protection. Only input and output capacitors, an inductor, a feedback resistor divider, and a feed-forward capacitor need to be selected according to the target application specifications. The SY81102 is available in a compact SOT23-6 package.
