Overview

UMW TL431 is a series of three-terminal adjustable voltage regulators with guaranteed thermal stability over the applicable temperature range. Using two external resistors, the output voltage can be set to any value between Vref and 36V. These devices have a typical dynamic output impedance of 0.27Ω, and the active output circuit provides very sharp turn-on characteristics, making these devices excellent replacements for Zener diodes in many applications.
