Overview
This device is a three-terminal adjustable shunt regulator that allows the output voltage to be set to any value between the reference voltage (approximately 2.495V) and 36V using two external resistors. These devices feature an output impedance of 0.15Ω (typical). The active output circuit provides a very sharp turn-on characteristic, making it an excellent replacement for Zener diodes in numerous applications. Such applications include on-board voltage regulation, adjustable power supplies, and switching power supplies.
