Overview
This device is a three-terminal adjustable shunt regulator with an output voltage adjustable to any value between Vref (approximately 2.495V) and 36V via two external resistors. These devices feature an output impedance of 0.15Ω (typical). The active output circuit provides a very sharp turn-on characteristic, making it an excellent replacement for Zener diodes in many applications. Such applications include on-board voltage regulation, adjustable power supplies, and power-on/power-off control.
