Overview
This device is a three-terminal adjustable shunt regulator that can set the output voltage to any value between the reference voltage (approximately 2.495V) and 36V using two external resistors. Its output impedance is 0.15Ω (typical). The active output circuit provides a very sharp turn-on characteristic, making it an excellent replacement for Zener diodes in many applications. Typical applications include on-board regulation, adjustable power supplies, and power-on/power-off protection.
