Overview

UMW TL431 is a series of three-terminal adjustable voltage regulators with guaranteed thermal stability over the applicable temperature range. By using two external resistors, the output voltage can be set to any value between the reference voltage (Vref) and 36V. These devices feature a typical dynamic output impedance of 0.27Ω, and the active output circuit exhibits a very sharp turn-on characteristic, making them ideal replacements for Zener diodes in many applications.
