Overview
This is a three-terminal adjustable shunt voltage regulator that can set the output voltage to any value between Vref (approximately 2.495V) and 36V using two external resistors. The device features an output impedance of 0.15Ω (typical). Its active output circuit provides a very sharp turn-on characteristic, making it an excellent replacement for Zener diodes in many applications. These applications include on-board voltage regulation, adjustable power supplies, and switching power supplies.
