Overview
This device is a three-terminal adjustable shunt voltage regulator that can set the output voltage to any value between the reference voltage (approximately 2.495V) and 36V using two external resistors. These devices feature an output impedance of 0.15Ω (typical). The active output circuit provides a very sharp turn-on characteristic, making it an excellent replacement for Zener diodes in many applications. Typical applications include on-board voltage regulation, adjustable power supplies, and power-on/power-off protection.
