Overview

The TLIN1024-Q1 device is a quad Local Interconnect Network (LIN) physical layer transceiver that integrates wake-up and protection functions and complies with LIN2.0, LIN2.1, LIN2.2, LIN2.2A, and ISO/DIS 17987–4.2 standards. LIN is a single-wire bidirectional bus commonly used in low-speed in-vehicle networks with a data transfer rate of up to 20 kbps. The LIN receiver supports in-line programming applications with a data transfer rate of up to 100 kbps. The TLIN1024-Q1 features two independent dual-channel LIN transceiver modules. VSUP1/2 can control the independent dual-channel transceiver modules. The TLIN1024-Q1 converts the LIN protocol data stream on the TXD input into a LIN bus signal by using a current-limiting waveform shaping driver that reduces electromagnetic emissions (EME). The receiver converts the data stream into a logic-level signal, which is sent to the microprocessor through the open-drain RXD pin. The sleep mode enables ultra-low current consumption and allows wake-up via the LIN bus or the EN pin. The integrated resistors, electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection, and fault protection functions help designers save board space in their applications.
