Overview
The TLV187x is a family of 40V high-speed comparators offering rail-to-rail inputs and a push-pull output stage with separate input and output supply pins. These features, combined with a 65ns propagation delay, make this family well-suited for bipolar zero-crossing detection, Class-D audio amplifier systems, and other applications requiring level translation and propagation delay symmetry. The device includes a power-on reset (POR) function that holds the output in a known state until the minimum supply voltage is reached, after which the output responds to the input. This prevents erroneous outputs during system power-up and power-down. The TLV187x features a push-pull output stage, making it an excellent choice for applications requiring symmetrical output rise and fall response. With separate input and output supplies, the device enables level translation for downstream devices operating at lower voltages.
