The TMUX1308A and TMUX1309A are general-purpose CMOS multiplexers (MUX). The TMUX1308A is an 8:1, 1-channel (single-ended) multiplexer, and the TMUX1309A is a 4:1, 2-channel (differential) multiplexer. These devices support bidirectional analog and digital signals on the source (Sx) and drain (Dx) pins, with a signal range from GND to VDD. The TMUX13xxA devices feature integrated injection current control, eliminating the need for external diode and resistor networks typically used to protect switches and keep input signals within the supply voltage range. The internal injection current control circuit allows signals on disabled or enabled signal paths to exceed the supply voltage, preventing signals on disabled channels with voltages above VDD from affecting enabled signal paths. The TMUX13xxA devices have no internal diode paths to the supply pins, eliminating the risk of damaging components connected to the supply pins or injecting unintended power into supply rails. All logic inputs feature 1.8V logic-compatible thresholds, providing simultaneous compatibility with both TTL and CMOS logic when operating within the valid supply voltage range. The failsafe logic circuit allows voltage to be applied to the control pins before the supply pins, protecting the device from potential damage.
