Overview
This device is a three-terminal adjustable shunt regulator that allows the output voltage to be set to any value between Vref (approximately 2.5V) and 36V using two external resistors. These devices feature an output impedance of 0.15Ω (typical). The active output circuit provides a very sharp turn-on characteristic, making it an excellent replacement for Zener diodes in many applications, including on-board voltage regulation, adjustable power supplies, and power switching.
