TP8308

TP8308 is a step-down LED constant current driver operating in fixed off-time control mode, designed for efficiently driving multiple LEDs. TP8308 employs an average current closed-loop constant current method, making the output current insensitive to inductance variations in system applications. This greatly improves the constant current accuracy of the output current, making it particularly suitable for non-isolated step-down LED constant current driver circuits with an input voltage range of 5~100V. TP8308 integrates an internal power transistor. The average LED output current can be set via an external resistor, and high/low brightness mode switching can be achieved by applying high or low logic levels to the MODE pin. When the MODE pin is driven high, the LED output operates at 100% high brightness mode; when driven low, the LED output operates at 30% low brightness mode. This requires minimal external components to implement LED high/low brightness mode switching, greatly reducing system cost and board space. TP8308 integrates multiple protection features to ensure system stability and reliability, including LED output short-circuit protection, LED output overcurrent protection, intelligent chip temperature control, and VDD undervoltage lockout protection.
