The TPD1E10B06-Q1 device is a bidirectional TVS ESD protection diode that offers a small 0402 package suitable for space-constrained applications and the industry-standard leaded SOD-523 package to support automated optical inspection (AOI). The TPD1E10B06-Q1 is rated to dissipate ESD strikes higher than the maximum level specified in the IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4 international standard. This is because its ESD voltage can easily reach 5000V, which exceeds the voltage that can damage many integrated circuits. However, under extreme conditions, these voltages will rise significantly. For example, in a low-humidity environment, the voltage can exceed 20000V. Low dynamic resistance and low clamping voltage ensure system-level protection against transient events, providing sufficient protection for designs exposed to ESD events. The device also features a 12pF IO capacitance, making it ideal for audio lines, buttons, memory interfaces, or GPIOs. There is also a non-automotive qualified version of this device: TPD1E10B06.
