Overview

The TPFP6291 is a miniature, high-efficiency boost DC/DC regulator. The circuit consists of a current-mode PWM control loop, error amplifier, slope compensation circuit, comparator, and power switch. This IC operates efficiently and stably over a wide load range, capable of directly outputting up to 12V from a lithium battery supply. The TPFP6291 integrates a built-in 2.5A MOSFET. A conversion efficiency of up to 93% effectively extends battery life. The output voltage can be set by adjusting two external resistors, and the output overcurrent threshold can be configured via one external resistor. The switching frequency is controlled at 1.0MHz, effectively reducing peripheral circuit costs for customers. Packaged in SOT23-6, it also provides output short-circuit protection, output overvoltage protection, and overtemperature protection.
