Overview
This is a step-down DC/DC regulator with integrated switches, featuring a SKIP control mode that combines low quiescent current with high switching frequency to achieve high efficiency across a wide load current range. In SKIP mode, the internal power MOSFETs switch the inductor current in short "burst" cycles, followed by a sleep period during which the power switches are off and the load current is supplied by the output capacitor. Under light-load conditions, the burst cycle occupies only a small fraction of the total cycle time, minimizing average supply current and significantly improving light-load efficiency.
