Overview
The TPS53015 is a single, self-startup D-CAP2™ mode synchronous buck controller. It enables system designers to complete power bus regulator sets for a variety of end equipment through a cost-effective solution with a low external component count and low standby current. The main control loop uses D-CAP2™ mode control, which provides an extremely fast transient response without external compensation components. Adaptive on-time control supports seamless transition between PWM mode under heavy load conditions and Eco-mode™ operation under light load conditions. Eco-mode™ enables the TPS53015 to maintain high efficiency under light load conditions. It is also compatible with low equivalent series resistance (ESR) capacitors such as POSCAP or SP-CAP, as well as ultra-low ESR ceramic capacitors. This device provides convenient and efficient operation at input voltages from 4.5V to 28V and output voltages from 0.77V to 7.0V. It is available in a 3.0mm × 3.0mm 10-pin Very Thin Small Outline Package (VSSOP) (DGS), with a rated ambient operating temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
