Overview
The TPS53819A is a compact single-phase step-down controller featuring adaptive on-time D-CAP2 mode control and PMBus. It is suited for low output voltage, high current system power rails or similar point-of-load (POL) power supplies in digital consumer products. The small package with minimal pin count saves PCB space, while PMBus-enabled programmability and fault reporting simplify power supply design. Skip mode at light load, combined with robust gate drivers and low-side FET RDS(on) current sensing, supports low-loss, high-efficiency operation across a wide load range. The conversion input voltage range is 3V to 28V, the supply voltage (VDD) is 4.5V to 28V, and the output voltage range is 0.6V to 5.5V. Available in a 16-pin QFN package, rated for an operating temperature range of -40°C to +85°C.
