The TPS54061 is a 60V, 200mA synchronous step-down DC-DC converter with integrated high-side and low-side MOSFETs. Current-mode control provides simple external compensation and flexible component selection. Non-switching supply current is 90μA. Using the enable pin reduces shutdown supply current to 1.4μA. To improve efficiency under light-load conditions, the low-side MOSFET acts as a diode when inductor current reaches zero. The UVLO is internally set to 4.5V but can be raised using resistors on the two enable pins. The output voltage startup ramp is controlled by an internal soft-start timer. An adjustable switching frequency range enables high efficiency and optimization of external component size. Frequency foldback and thermal shutdown protect the device under overload conditions. The TPS54061 integrates MOSFETs and a bootstrap recharge diode, and the compact 3.00mm×3.00mm thermally enhanced VSON package minimizes IC package size, enabling small-form-factor designs.
