The TPS54295 is a dual adaptive on-time D-CAP2 mode synchronous buck converter. It helps system designers complete power bus regulator sets for various end equipment with a cost-effective solution requiring fewer components and lower standby current. The main control loop employs D-CAP2 mode control, enabling fast transient response without external compensation components. Adaptive on-time control enables seamless transition between PWM mode at higher load conditions and Eco-mode operation at light loads. Eco-mode allows the TPS54295 to maintain high efficiency under light-load conditions. It is compatible with both low-ESR output capacitors such as POSCAP or SP-CAP, and ultra-low-ESR ceramic capacitors. The device operates efficiently and conveniently with input voltages ranging from 4.5V to 18V. It is available in a 4.4mm×5mm 16-pin HTSSOP (PWP) package and a 4mm×4mm 16-pin VQFN (RSA) package, designed to operate over an ambient temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
