Overview
The TPS543x is a high output current PWM converter with an integrated low-resistance, high-side N-channel MOSFET. In addition to the listed features, the device also integrates a high-performance voltage error amplifier, undervoltage lockout, internally set soft-start, and voltage feedforward on the substrate. The ENA pin reduces shutdown supply current to typically 18 μA. Additional features include active-high enable, current limiting, overvoltage protection, and thermal shutdown. To reduce design complexity and minimize external component count, the TPS543x feedback loop is internally compensated. The TPS5431 is designed to operate from supply rails up to 23V, while the TPS5430 regulates a variety of supplies including 24V buses. TPS543x devices are available in a thermally enhanced, easy-to-use 8-pin SOIC PowerPAD package. TI offers evaluation modules and Designer software tools to help achieve high-performance power supply designs quickly, meeting demanding device development cycle requirements.
