The TPS54361-Q1 is a 60V, 3.5A step-down regulator with an integrated high-side MOSFET. Per ISO 7637, the device withstands load dump pulses up to 65V. Current mode control provides simple external compensation and flexible component selection. Low-ripple pulse skip mode and 152μA supply current enable high efficiency at light loads. When the enable pin is pulled low, shutdown supply current is reduced to 2μA. UVLO is internally set at 4.3V but can be increased using an external resistor divider on the enable pin. The output voltage startup ramp is controlled by the soft-start pin, which can also be configured for sequencing/tracking. An open-drain power good signal indicates the output is within 93% to 106% of the nominal voltage. The wide adjustable switching frequency range can be optimized for efficiency or external component size. Cycle-by-cycle current limiting, frequency foldback, and thermal shutdown protect internal and external components under overload conditions. The TPS54361-Q1 is available in a 10-pin 4mm×4mm WSON exposed thermal pad package.
