The TPS54429 is an adaptive on-time D-CAP2™ mode synchronous buck converter. It helps system designers complete the power bus regulator set for various end equipment with a low-cost, low component count solution featuring low standby current. The main control loop employs D-CAP2™ mode control, achieving extremely fast transient response without external compensation components. The proprietary current also helps the device accommodate low equivalent series resistance (ESR) output capacitors such as POSCAP or SP-CAP, as well as ultra-low ESR ceramic capacitors. The device operates over a wide input voltage range of 7 V to 18 V. The output voltage is programmable between 0.76 V and 5.5 V. In addition, the device supports adjustable soft-start time and power good functionality. Available in a 14-pin HTSSOP package, it supports a wide operating temperature range of -20°C to 85°C.
