The TPS563231 is an easy-to-use 3A synchronous buck converter in a SOT563 package. The device is optimized to minimize the number of external components required for operation and to achieve low standby current. These SMPS devices employ D-CAP3 mode control to provide fast transient response and support low-ESR output capacitors such as high-polymer capacitors and ultra-low ESR ceramic capacitors without external compensation components. During light-load operation, the TPS563231 operates in PSM to maintain high efficiency. The TPS563231 is available in a 6-pin 1.6mm × 1.6mm SOT563 (DRL) package and is rated for a junction temperature range of -40°C to 125°C.
