The TPS62A056x series devices are synchronous DC/DC step-down converters optimized for high efficiency and compact design size. The devices integrate a switch capable of delivering up to 2A output current. Under medium-to-heavy load conditions, the devices operate in peak current mode PWM at a switching frequency of approximately 2.4MHz. Under light load conditions, the devices automatically enter Power Save Mode (PSM) to maintain high efficiency across the entire load current range. During shutdown, current consumption is minimized to extend application lifetime. The TPS62A056xA variant of this device family operates in forced PWM mode across the entire load current range. TPS62A056x devices provide adjustable output voltage through an external resistor divider. An internal soft-start circuit limits inrush current during startup.
