The TPSM5601R5Hx power module is a highly integrated 1.5A power solution that integrates a 60V input step-down DC/DC converter with power MOSFETs, a shielded inductor, and multiple passive components in a thermally enhanced QFN package. This 5mm×5.5mm×4mm, 15-pin QFN package uses enhanced HotRod QFN technology to achieve enhanced thermal performance, small size, and low EMI. All pins of the package are distributed on the periphery and have a single large thermal pad, enabling simple layout and easy handling during the manufacturing process. The TPSM5601R5Hx is a compact and easy-to-use power module with an adjustable wide output voltage range from 1.0V to 16V. The overall solution only requires four external components and eliminates loop compensation and magnetic component selection in the design process. The full set of features includes power-good status indication, programmable UVLO, pre-biased startup, overcurrent, and overheat protection. Therefore, the TPSM5601R5Hx is an excellent device for powering various applications. Space-constrained applications can benefit from the 5mm×5.5mm package. In addition, the TPSM5601R5HEXT can operate at a lower temperature of –55°C, and the TPSM5601R5HS supports spread-spectrum operation.
