Overview

4120xH is a monolithic 36V, 1A step-down switching regulator. The 4120xH integrates a 36V, 150mΩ high-side and a 36V, 100mΩ low-side MOSFET, delivering 1A continuous load current over a wide 4.5V to 36V input voltage range, with 33V input overvoltage protection. Peak current mode control provides fast transient response and cycle-by-cycle current limiting. The 4120xH features configurable line drop compensation and configurable charge current limiting. CC/CV mode control enables smooth transitions between constant-current and constant-voltage charging phases. Built-in soft-start prevents inrush current at power-up. The 4120xH is an easy-to-use synchronous buck DC-DC converter operating from a 4.5V to 36V supply voltage. It delivers up to 1A continuous load current in a very compact solution size with high efficiency and thermal performance. The 4120xH also integrates input overvoltage and output overvoltage protection, helping customers easily design safe DC-DC converters. The switching frequency is fixed at 500kHz to minimize inductor size and improve EMI performance.
