Overview

TX4143B is a monolithic step-down switching mode converter with an integrated power MOSFET. The TX4143B delivers a maximum output current of 2.5 A over a wide input voltage range of 6 - 40V, with excellent line and load regulation. TX4143B operates in PWM current mode, enabling easy loop stabilization and fast transient response. TX4143B provides an external FS pin, allowing the switching frequency to be set via an external resistor. TX4143B integrates protection features including cycle-by-cycle current limiting and thermal shutdown. TX4143B comes in an SOP8 package with minimal external components. TX4143B is a current-mode buck regulator in which the EA output voltage is proportional to the peak inductor current. TX4143B features a built-in 0.6ms soft-start, which prevents output voltage overshoot during startup.
