TX6114

TX6114 is a high-precision, high-brightness LED constant-current driver controller with an integrated 5A power MOS switch in a buck topology. The output current is set via a single external resistor, with a maximum output current of 2.5A. Minimal external components are required to implement the buck constant-current driving function, and brightness control can be achieved through the DIM pin. The system employs an inductive current hysteresis control scheme, providing very fast response to load transients and high rejection of input voltage variations; the inductor current ripple is 20%, with a maximum operating frequency of up to 1MHz. This IC is particularly suited for wide input voltage range applications, with an input voltage range of 5.5V to 40V. An integrated over-temperature protection circuit is built in; when the IC reaches the over-temperature protection threshold, the system immediately enters over-temperature protection mode and reduces the input current to improve system reliability. The IC also features an integrated LDO with a 5V output voltage capable of delivering up to 5mA of output current.
