Overview
The U0058 is a high-efficiency synchronous step-down DC/DC regulator. Its wide input voltage range makes it suitable for a broad range of applications, such as power regulation from unregulated power supplies. The device employs internal switches with low RDS(ON) (typical 500mΩ/300mΩ) to achieve maximum efficiency (typical 92%). PSM mode is supported, with a fixed operating frequency of 850kHz, allowing the use of small external components while maintaining low output voltage ripple. With overvoltage protection, this IC can withstand input voltages up to 55V. The U0058 supports 600mA continuous output current and features a 0.8V nominal feedback voltage. Additional features include thermal shutdown, input voltage UVLO, and gate drive UVLO. The U0058 is available in a thin SOT23-6 package.
