Overview
UC3842 is a fixed-frequency current-mode PWM controller designed for off-line and DC-DC switching power supply applications. It integrates a temperature-compensated precision reference voltage, an adjustable oscillator for precise duty cycle control, a high-gain error amplifier, a current sensing comparator, and a high-current totem-pole output stage suitable for driving power MOSFETs. Additional features include cycle-by-cycle hysteretic current limiting, undervoltage lockout (UVLO), adjustable dead time, and single-pulse-per-cycle latch protection. The device is available in DIP8 and SOP8 packages.
