Overview
UC3842 is a fixed-frequency current-mode PWM controller designed for off-line and DC-DC switching power supply applications. It integrates a temperature-compensated precision voltage reference, an adjustable oscillator for precise duty cycle control, a high-gain error amplifier, a current-sense comparator, a high-current totem-pole output stage suitable for driving power MOSFETs, along with protection circuits including cycle-by-cycle current limiting with hysteresis, undervoltage lockout (UVLO), adjustable dead time, and single-pulse metering latch.
