The XC9290/XC9291 series are 600mA synchronous rectification DC/DC converters with HiSAT-COT control. By raising the oscillation frequency to a higher range, a coil measuring 0.8×0.45mm can be used. The input capacitor (CIN) and output capacitor (CL) can use 0.6×0.3mm ceramic capacitors, reducing the total mounting area including peripheral components to as small as 3.15mm². The increased oscillation frequency enables a reduced mounting area. Furthermore, improvements in on-resistance and current consumption achieve efficiency equal to or higher than conventional products. Thanks to these characteristics, the XC9290/XC9291 series is well suited for devices requiring compact and thin mounting areas, as well as battery-powered devices such as mobile equipment. In addition, the high-speed transient response technology of HiSAT-COT control minimizes output voltage fluctuation under load transient conditions. This feature is ideal for applications such as FPGA that require fast response to instantaneous load variations and stable output voltage.
