XL2596HVS is a high-voltage, high-efficiency step-down DC-DC switching converter operating at a fixed 150KHz switching frequency with an output current capability of up to 3A. The device supports a wide input voltage range of 4.5V~50V and up to 100% duty cycle output. The integrated loop compensation module helps reduce the number of external components required, lowering overall power system cost and saving board space. The converter is available in an ADJ adjustable output voltage version as well as fixed output voltage versions of 3.3V, 5.0V, and 12V. The IC integrates thermal shutdown protection, output current limiting protection, and short-circuit protection. When short-circuit protection is activated, the switching frequency is reduced from 150KHz to approximately 30KHz.
