Overview
Y3406 is a compact 5V step-down converter capable of delivering 1A output current. It employs a proprietary control loop to achieve fast transient load response while maintaining high conversion efficiency under both light-load and heavy-load conditions. The device integrates multiple protection features, including input overvoltage protection, output short-circuit protection, overcurrent protection, and overtemperature protection. The Y3406 incorporates an internal power tree generator, bandgap voltage reference module, undervoltage lockout (UVLO) module, error amplifier, protection circuitry, driver module, current sensing module, and two power MOSFETs. The device is available in a SOT-23-5 package.
