Overview

The Y3608 is a constant-frequency, current-mode boost converter in a 6-pin SOT23-6 package, designed for small, low-power applications. The device switches at 1.2MHz, allowing the use of small, low-cost capacitors and inductors. Internal soft-start reduces inrush current and extends battery life. The Y3608 features automatic switching to pulse frequency modulation (PFM) mode under light load conditions. The device incorporates UVLO, current limiting, and thermal overload protection to prevent damage during output overload. Efficiency reaches up to 93%. Key features include adjustable output voltage, thermal shutdown, and automatic PFM mode under light load.
