Overview
This is a three-terminal adjustable shunt regulator whose output voltage can be set to any value between the reference voltage (approximately 2.5V) and 36V using two external resistors. The device features an output impedance of 0.15Ω (typical). Its active output circuit provides a very sharp turn-on characteristic, making it an excellent replacement for Zener diodes in numerous applications. These applications include on-board voltage regulation, adjustable power supplies, and switching power supplies.
